Hello and welcome
My name is Eloise (she/her), and I am a psychologist and psychodynamic psychotherapist based in Brisbane, Queensland.
My work is client-centred and predominantly informed by psychodynamic theory. This means I am interested in what sits beneath symptoms: the emotional patterns, unconscious processes, and relational experiences that shape how you feel and respond in the world. I aim to create a space where you can speak freely, think deeply, and begin to understand the internal dynamics that may be influencing your current struggles.
In our work together, I pay close attention to your thoughts, feelings, bodily responses, and the way our therapeutic relationship unfolds. These elements often reveal important clues about longstanding patterns—both protective and limiting—that can be explored, understood, and slowly transformed. I support clients to slow down, reflect, and develop a more coherent and compassionate understanding of their inner life.
I provide therapy to young people (16+) and adults, offering both short-term and longer-term therapy depending on your needs and goals.
I’m particularly drawn to supporting people who are navigating:
Chronic stress and burnout
Grief and bereavement
Identity disturbances and low self-worth
People-pleasing, perfectionistic or self-critical tendencies
Concerns with eating, body image and shape
Anxiety, fear-based responses, and persistent worry
Mood fluctuations and affective instability
Difficulties adjusting to significant life transitions
Persistent feelings of being stuck, directionless, or emotionally constrained
Experiences of loneliness, disconnection, or relational withdrawal
If this approach resonates with you, I invite you to contact me to discuss how we might begin.
